This “SEC Storied” documentary centers on the lifelong relationship between Shaquille O’Neal and Hall of Fame coach Dale Brown during his college years at LSU.

The doc paints a picture of a young O’Neal that dealt with self-doubt and was closer to continuing his family’s military legacy than becoming an NBA superstar.

The Diesel retired after a 19-year NBA career in which he was a 15-time all-star and won four championships

“Dear Shaquille, I’m so sorry about what happened to you. But I found out in my life, whenever anybody said I’d never make it, I felt inferior, I was defeated…  if you always sincerely try to do your best and you never give up under any conditions, sooner or later God will take care of everything else.” -Dale Brown

Dale Brown coached at LSU for 25 years, led the Tigers to two Final Fours and finished his career as the second-winningest coach in SEC history.

“At times when I’d get down on myself and say, ‘Am I really good enough to make the pros?,’ I would just sit here and dream. I was never convinced.” -Shaq
